Harrisonburg Christmas Parade with the Marching Royal Dukes, 7 p.m., downtown Harrisonburg: The Marching Royal Dukes march in the parade and perform a concert on Court Square; free.

"True Fest: Director's Fest 2010," Block B performances 8 p.m., Studio Theatre, Forbes Center for the Performing Arts: A festival of 12 10-minute plays directed by James Madison University students in the directing class with lighting designs by students in the lighting design class; plays are performed in two blocks over three days; attend both Block A and Block B performances to see all 12 plays; mature audiences only for language and adult content; Block A plays are "Words, Words, Words" by David Ives; "Boxes" by Wendy MacLeod; "The Tarantino Variation" by Seth Kramer; "The Sin-Eater" by Don Nigro; "Marred Bliss" by Mark O'Donnell; and "Banging Ann Coulter" by Michael Elyanow; Block B plays are "Cathleen Ni Houlihan" by W.B. Yeats; "On the Porch One Crisp Spring Morning" by Alex Dremann; "Postcards From Manifest Destiny: A Short Visit" by Trevor Wilhelms; "Kissing Scene" by Carl Martin; "Small World" by Tracey Wilson; "Arizona Anniversaries" by John Bishop; purchase tickets at the Forbes Center box office or one hour prior to each performance at the Studio Theatre box office; $4 general admission ($8 for both Block A and Block B).
