Meet Your Staff!!!

Jordan Waddell, HD

Hey Everyone! My name is Jordan Waddell, HD here in Ashby. I want to learn all about all of you so lets start with me. My family lives in a super small town in Central PA, there are more cows than people where I live! I love super dramatic TV shows (Greys Anatomy, Desperate Housewives and Gossip Girls are my favorites), but I hate reality TV. When I'm stressed nothing makes me feel better than an ice cream and a nap! I have had all sorts of odd jobs from ballet teacher to hot dog slinger to quality inspector and a whole bunch in between. I am a super open person so if I am ever in my room stop by to say hi! I can't wait to get to know all of you all over the year.

Thanks!
Jordan

Grace White, RA

Hello! This is resident advisor Grace White here to do a mini biography! I am a senior here at James Madison University and a double major in International Affairs and Modern Foreign Language. Outside of school one of my all time favorite activities is playing with my pets. Actually when I was younger I had a rabbit farm that I was solely in charge of. But instead of 30 to 40 rabbits at a time, now I have a fat doggy and an equally fat hamster. I love building mazes for my hamster with various tu

bes and boxes (she is easily motivated by animal crackers) and I love having my dog sleep on my stomach while I’m watching TV (she keeps me warm). When I’m not hopelessly fawning over my little pets, I enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, canoeing, bouldering (it exists, I swear), and anything else that keeps me in the fresh air and moving.

Kavan Gillespie, RA

So what is there to know about Kavan? I am a senior Vocal Music Educa

tion major. I currently sing in the Madison Singers on campus and co-conduct the Women's Chorus. I am from Virginia Beach, VA and live about 5 minutes from the beach. Unfortunately, I worked all summer at a parking lot and did not spend very much time on the beach so close by. Instead, I spent my time handling money and reading the Harry Potter series again. I have a girlfriend, Michela, of nearly 4 years and she is basically my li

fe. We are both really into boardgames and watching Criminal Minds and NCIS. Although I am not athletic, I spend most of my free time when not with Michela watching ESPN or ESPN2. I am pretty easy going and enjoy a good balance of spending time with others and time with myself. And that's about it.

Linn Baumgardt, RA

I was born on August 12, 1988 in Cottbus, East Germany. After the wall came down I constantly moved with my family and went to many different schools. I graduated from a German High school in 2008 and went to JMU. I am an International Business major with a concentration in Marketing.

Gray Kidd, RA

I am from Richmond, Virginia (Chesterfield if you're familiar with central Virginia, or Midlothian if you are from the area) and I’m a third year history major/Latin American Studies and modern foreign languages (Spanish) minor. I'm working toward teaching at the college level (hopefully), so I will be in school for quite a while. Aside from lots and lots of reading, I enjoy coffee (being the caffeine addict that I am) and visits to Earth and Tea CafĂ© downtown. I used to play violin and viola for eight or so years and although I no longer play either, I still love music. I'm a huge fan of all types of music (classical, rock, classic rock, Latin, pop, you name it).

You can e-mail me at kiddgf@jmu.edu
